Backbones Behind The Success

SVP Trust has been established in the year 1975 by a Vijay Patel. Today that trust manages and runs various schools and colleges. The chairman of the trust is professor S. K. Dhanani and secretary is Dr. J. B. Chandrani.

Journey of S.V.P Trust

       

Till the year 1975 Botad was the only government secondary school in the city despite the population of around 50,000 (fifty thousand). There was no secondary-higher secondary school run by private or public trusts, especially for sisters. There was a special need for a separate girls’ high school for studies beyond 8. Under such circumstances, many friends came up with the idea to raise the educational level in Botad and make people interested in girl education, this year was the centenary of India’s great-grandson, the iron man Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, taking into consideration the courage, tact, courage, honesty, patriotism of Sardar Sahib. And with the auspicious spirit of developing qualities like aptitude etc. in children also a trust was established in the name of Adarshmurthy Sardar Saheb and named as “Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Educational and Charitable Trust”.

This trust From the month of June 1977 as its first educational activity for girls. 8 started a secondary school, which was inaugurated in a rented small but clean and tidy building by the then Gujarat State Education Minister Hon’ble Mr. Navalbhai Shah.
